Meet Jo
Hello, I’m Jo, the face behind the camera at Bella Vita Photography.
I’m a mum of two beautiful boys, who came to us after our IVF journey. That experience showed me just how precious every new baby is, and it’s what first inspired me to pick up my camera and photograph newborns. More than 10 years and around 400 babies later, I still feel the same wonder every time I meet a brand new little one.
Being a mum myself, I know how special, and how exhausting, those first weeks can be. That’s why I bring the session to you. No travel, no rushing, just time to relax at home while I gently capture your new family, letting baby lead the way.
I’m based in Chelmsford and photograph families across most of Essex.
Photography has always been my passion, and I’m rarely far from a camera. When I’m not working, you’ll find me spending time with my family, planning our next holiday, enjoying a spot of shopping, or, thanks to my love of food, trying out a new local restaurant.

Because these dates can move according to when baby decides to come, I try and keep bookings in each calendar month to a minimum to ensure I can work around your baby’s eventual birth date.
